Pretty bad Mongoose I see that I now have a green tag under my name, but the content is above my security clearance. Why is that? Is this something that others have had an issue with? Mine worked fine. I downloaded the file from here rather then dropbox. Try it again, you should be able to download multicopies. When I test printed at home I got dots in the Moxie and check marks on the Wounds. It didn't resize the 5. The image resized when I printed on 8. Or maybe it's just me. When I open the file, my laptop opens the file via I.
I don't know if that matters or not How do we get POD cards? The cards from the blank POD cards wont match ones you make yourself. If that gets fixed I am all in buying everything. Until then I will wait. This is from somebody who has tons of old edition Paranoia stuff, btw. Thanks with baited breath. Baited breath means you've been eating worms. Understandably, lots of folks want to play this game online.
Over at this Reddit thread, we are attempting to gather ideas and concepts for running the new edition -- which uses Action Cards as a means to spice up encounters -- online, whether it's through Roll20, Hangouts, or other means.
Feel free to drop and see what we've got or add new ideas! There still don't seem to be any good i. That's a shame, as my online gaming group would be interested in playing this game and I already purchased both the print and PDF versions. Mongoose, is there any way you could make the individual card images available as opposed to the current PDF that would require tedious image processing? That would make it easy to upload these into Roll Mongoose - any updates on this?
I've enjoyed this edition of Paranoia and really wanted to play it online over the past year, but unfortunately this is effectively impossible. Really all that's needed is individual jpg images for each card, which could then easily be imported into VTTs such as Foundry. This works great with similar RPGs that come with cards.
Online play is such a key aspect of playing RPGs these days, that I find it hard to understand why this is not available. Heck, I'd even be willing to spend a few additional bucks on a set of card images. By this I mean, I just spent a good wad of cash to get these printed in colour, two pages per sheet of paper, but the page numbering is off. Obviously the numbering is meant to be on the outside edges, but when printed as is, they end up in the middle of the book, making it harder to flick to any given page by number.
This could be fixed by putting just a single blank page after the cover page, although I feel the actual printed book would have a lot more blank pages, especially at the front of the book. Even after having everything printed, I went back to check if I could insert a blank page, but of course, the document is locked. No, pdf's should be set up for people who read it on pdf. You're asking them to do something that I've found causes problems in many cases. The problem with what you suggest is that when reading the pdf in two-page view, the even page should be left, and the odd page should be on the right.
You have to scroll back and forth between page 8, then page 9, then back to page 8, etc. The thing with any PDF reading program worth it's salt, at least with Adobe's, is you can select a simple menu option to offset that single page. It's literally a 2 second fix versus money spent on printing that can't be undone, nor can it be adjusted in the first place since the document is locked.
More than happy to give a tutorial if needed. The local print shop isn't clever enough to figure this out either, you give them the document, they print it.
One job, as is. It's a minor annoyance that I'll get over, but it'd still be nice to know before I go printing. Thank you for pointing that out. I just experimented with the view modes again and found it. I didn't know what Cover mode was for. I had tried it previously, but it seemed to have no effect I hadn't realized that you had to have it in two-page view mode before Cover view mode actually did anything. So, the game mentions the computer dice. Is it a D6, with one side being Computer?
Yes, it's a D6. Also the Mandatory bonus duty title's are really hard to read even zoomed in on the PDF. Eric, I agree with the misaligned dashes through the cards on page 2 of the cards pdf; it makes those cards easy to identify from the others when playing I really look forward to this being corrected with an update.
Other than that, I am very happy with the game. Please, Mongoose, repair this page of the pdf. Thank you so much for the quick reply and turnaround! Cards look great! It's too expensive. Print copy price for a digital edition. I pass for now.
Well, peter I have to agree with he expensive pricing they are keeping up. But after the updates on the page count are shown. I figured they are not as bad Not as bad as Traveller 2nd editions Price. I might go for this one soon, however if it's not worth money going in I will let you know in May. Be nice, be critical, but most of all - be honest. It is not pages!!! Page count is off. I have purchased this, and the players handbook is 73 pages, gamemasters handbook is , and the mission book is There is also a 40 page pdf of print-and-cut cards.
Thank you, Ryan. Still seems overpriced. Like the just exchanged the dollar sign for the pound sign or something. They modified the page-count to say pages overall, which almost adds up to what you said. Such blatant overpricing is treasonous. Have your sales department report for termination immediately. Or, is there something weird with the page count? Seriously, what gives? I've been on this site since at least , looking back through my order history, and this is the first time I've ever looked at a 'major' release and thought 'XXX is wrong with that pricing?
And it's pages long. So yeah, this PDF is way overpriced, yo. They corrected their page-count to pages total, probably counting the card pages. Still drastically overpriced for digital, especially considering their kickstarter was quite well funded. Very impressed with this edition. The rules in this edition are a lot more flexible, and the system has been trimmed into something that actually supports the style of play the game is known for.
