She is still young, she makes mistakes, but she keeps learning. If you know a young person or female athlete who is being harassed for whatever reason — race, appearance, gender or sexuality — this would be a good book to share. There are loving people and life on the other side.

We say to girls: You should aim to be successful, but not too successful. Otherwise, you will threaten the man. She clashes with her classmates, father and coaches over her sexuality, and with media outlets and the WNBA over the bullshit double standards for female athletes.
